What happens when your phone is in sleep mode?
The next sleep feature is called Sleep mode. When enabled, Sleep mode automatically puts your phone into Do Not Disturb mode during your scheduled sleep time. It automatically disables Do Not Disturb after your wake time.
You can choose to accept all calls, calls from all contacts, calls from favorites in your contacts or no calls at all while you have Sleep Focus activated. From whom to receive notifications: You can select notifications from trusted contacts to come through when you activate Sleep Focus on your iPhone.
Sleep uses very little power, your PC starts up faster, and you're instantly back to where you left off. You don't have to worry that you'll lose your work because of your battery draining because Windows automatically saves all your work and turns off the PC if the battery is too low.
Do Not Disturb mutes your phone, but Sleep Mode is an upgrade for your entire life. Apple introduced Sleep Mode with iOS 14 and watchOS 7 through the Health app, and it's a game-changer.
The Sleep/Wake button is the solitary button on the right-hand side of your iPhone (or on the top of your iPhone if you have an iPhone 5 or earlier). and it silences the ringer, sending that call to voicemail.
Sleep mode, sometimes called standby or suspend mode, is a power-sparing state that a computer can enter when not in use. The computer's state is maintained in RAM (random access memory).
Go to Settings > Focus and tap any of the categories, like Do Not Disturb, Driving, or Sleep. Under Allowed Notifications, you can choose settings separately for People and Apps. Tap People and you can find the old option for passing through calls, now under Also Allow as Calls From.
Even when DND mode is enabled, you continue to receive calls, text messages, and other notifications on your phone. The only difference is that your phone will not ring or vibrate in response to those calls and notifications. You'll see all those missed calls, text messages, and notifications when you use your phone.
Do Not Disturb does not have the caller hear a busy signal. The call just goes to Voicemail. Do Not Disturb silences the notifications you receive, it does not decline the call.
Recommendations. While both sleep and shutdown are power-saving functions, there's still the question of what is better for your computer. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, it's recommended that you put your computer into sleep mode if you're not going to be using it for more than 20 minutes.
What is the use of sleep mode in Android?
You can prevent your screen from being always on while you're in bedtime mode.
The device's screen will turn black and it will look like it is turned off. This is actually the sleep mode. In sleep mode, the device will be able to wake up very quickly when you press on a key. Some apps may actually continue running in the background when the device is asleep.

Sometimes you might think you've been blocked when the person you're calling is actually using Do Not Disturb mode. When someone enables this mode on their phone, neither you nor that person gets a notification when you send a message or try to call them.
Both the "Do not Disturb" mode & "Focus" Mode are able to control the notifications from specific apps. When the modes are active blocking notifications, clearing away any open notifications from specific apps, and stopping any further notifications from showing up becomes possible.
Does putting someone on Do Not Disturb block their calls? Do Not Disturb mode on iOS and Android prevents notifications from making noise or appearing on screen. It does not block incoming text messages or phone calls.
Among the handful of things that might automatically send your calls to voicemail is your phone's Do Not Disturb mode, blocked numbers, call forwarding, Bluetooth connections, and your phone's SIM card. Whether you accidentally activated any of these phone features or forgot you turned them on, don't fret.
Attempt calling on iPhone or Android
Calling is an easier way to determine if someone blocked your number. First, call from your phone number. If the call goes to voicemail, listen to the message. If you receive a message that the number is unavailable, it generally means the recipient blocked you.
Check Your Phone Settings
One of the most common reasons your phone never rings is that you've switched on Do Not Disturb mode and forgot to turn it off again. Most people usually set specific times of day (such as after bedtime) where DnD mode kicks in automatically and then turns off again at another specified time.
Right click on the Start button then select Power Options. On the Power & Sleep menu, under Sleep, there is a dropdown menu with time options. Select Never to disable the computer from going to sleep. The new setting goes into place automatically.
Sleep Number settings range from 0-100, and your number will be an increment of five. The higher the number, the more firm the bed will be. Most people have a Sleep Number between 30-60; any lower than 30 or higher than 60 will result in a bed that will (most likely) feel uncomfortably soft or hard.
How do I get out of sleep mode?
To wake up a computer or the monitor from sleep, standby, or hibernate, move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard.

Sleep shuts down the display and parks the disk drive to prevent damage. Normal shutdowns and startups allow the machine to perform self-tests, clear out the RAM, and alert you to software updates or minor errors.
You cannot run your aplication when the computer is in sleep mode! It does not matter if it is a thread running it. If the computer goes to sleep, the thread too will sleep. That's the point of sleep.
